Rosalie Gingras

I was fortunate to grow up in a family of artists on the South Shore of Montreal. It was during my studies in visual arts at Cégep du Vieux-Montréal that my love for working with clay was born.

In 2009, I moved to the Outaouais region, where I earned a bachelor's degree in art education. It was also there that I discovered pottery on the wheel. Since ceramics is often an unpredictable medium, I turned to painting a few years after starting with ceramics, in order to regain a little more control over my creative process.

My studio is located in Chelsea, Quebec, a small municipality north of Ottawa. It's also where I live with my family and my dog.
